INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP

Over 30 delegates from across Europe met at the first WEB International Workshop held at the CLRC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the UK in September 2001.

The Workshop was kindly hosted by RAL and attendees included architects, environmental engineers, scientists, academics, wind energy professionals and journalists.

The workshop included: a series of presentations on the results from Project WEB; a demonstration of the performance of the 2-storey WEB Prototype Building with integrated HAWT; and an open discussion of the future potential for the integration of wind turbines in urban areas.

Delegates also received a booklet summarising the important results from Project WEB.
